Formula & Underlying Logic

Future Value of a Systematic Investment Plan

SIP contributions are modeled as an annuity due (investments made at the beginning of each monthly cycle):

FV = P × [ ((1 + i)n - 1) ÷ i ] × (1 + i)

Where P is the monthly investment amount, i is the periodic monthly interest rate, and n is the total number of deposits.

Worked Step-by-Step Example

Example Scenario: 25,000 Monthly SIP at 14% for 10 Years

Total amount deposited: 3,000,000

Estimated compound wealth gain: 3,553,000+

Total maturity value: 6,553,000+ (more than double the invested principal!).
